Ahh....You have obviously missed the point.
#1 Try apologizing for your lack of concern for your viewers. Dont tell them when to tune in to catch the show you screwed them out of in the first place!!! Thats self serving and rude. Showing only regard for your ratings and not for the satisfaction of your viewers.
#2 Even people from milk carton school of customer service know that the customer is always right. So you must have either been absent that day or truly did get your skills from observing the DMV. Buck up and take it when a customer is unhappy and answer with an apology.
#3 I dont give a damn what the other people laid down and did. They should stand up and never watch your self gratifying channel just like I am.
But I guess the real customers are your advertisers. MMMMM...I wonder what they will think of this email when I forward it to them(and post it all over the internet). After all I originally was tuning in to watch their commercials and now I wont be watching them. At least not on your station or on any ABC affiliate.
Thanks, And I hope you learned a lesson in customer service.

Thank you for the very offensive email message. In our effort to be courteous to our viewers we provided the message below. You are the only viewer who chose to send such an insulting email. Most viewers sent back a message of thanks. And no, I didn't learn customer service off a milk carton.

Nice apology.
Oh wait there wasnt one.
Tell me why I would ever watch your stupid channel again?
Something like, "we apologize for the inconvenience our grandstanding/headline grabbing caused you, your wife and your lost viewing party." would go a lot further, Im not even picky about you calling it grandstanding, you could call it slightly over zealous newscasting, or just good ol' bad judgement.
Where did you learn customer service, the side of a milk carton or from the DMV?
Your obvious mass mailing/lack of concern for your customers/consumers upsets me as much as your blatant disregard for them last Wednesday.
Hang it on your ear...Im removing ABC from the channel list on my DVR.

Whats wrong with you people? Scheduled programming for your entire viewing area (which is being sent out statewide) is interrupted by twin cities weather? I think your staff is drunk on the power hurricane Katrina gives the media. I would hope your investors and the people running your commercials are aware of this situation. Im certainly not watching your channel to see twin cities weather, I live hours from the twin cities and I was not at all effected by your "terrible weather situation" (furthermore I think a major cable in the states of MN and WI, Charter carries only one affiliate, the one making me watch twin cities weather!!!! And tell the newscasters telling me to change to channel 12 that they morons!!!! Channel twelve isnt a ABC affiliate for me!) and I just want to enjoy the escapism fictional television offers me, such as that of the season premier of Lost. THE SEASON PREMIER!!!
Get it?
I dont think you do.
My wife traded this night off of work so she could see this show. What do you think Im going to be listening to the rest of the night?!!!!?
Now, Let me also say I understand that life might be threatened and some people might need to be notified...ISNT THAT WHAT THE EMERGENCY BROADCAST SYSTEM IS FOR!!!! Not these talking head newsmen grabbing an audience. Also Im fine with the letter boxing of warnings...Thats cool. REMOVE THE TALKING HEADS!!! And Im not talking about David Byrne.
Will the people from ABC please kick the local affiliate in the nuts or something?! PLEASE! Tell them most of us dont care about whats going on with the weather in the twin cities?!?!
Will the webmaster at ABC.com also forward this on to wherever it might do some good?
Thanks,
R
PS My house full of company thinks Im wasting my time please prove them wrong.
