Now Im back and too busy to blog.

Gotta do a firmware upgrade to a laserjet 8100 via the network.

How do I do that? Guess Ill find out.

12 PM- Munched a few devilled eggs as they were being made.
2 PM- 3 Lobster stuffed portibello mushrooms in a cream sauce
1/4 of an onion, petaled and fried
8 more deviled eggs
Misc meats/cheeses and vegis from a tray
5 PM- Turkey
Ham
Potatoes
Stuffing(normal and walnut apple)
Cranberry Sauce
Corn
More Turkey
More Ham
6 PM- Pumpkin Layer Cake
7 PM- 2 Scoops Apple Crisp
8 PM- 1/8th of a Pecan Pie
9 PM- 1/8th of a Blueberry Pie
Frosty Alcoholic Drinks

11 PM Collapse under the weight of my gullet.

I work from 12-8 tonight.

Im not sure if I like it...So far it feels pretty weird. I got up at 9:30, took a shower and now am feeling bad for the people working the normal 8-5 shift. I wonder if I just shouldnt go in?

You hear a clicking sound.

This is a bunch of wav files and sound mappings for nethack.

Im 1st line today so I hope to have alittle time to download some other sounds and add to the mappings. If I can find a good .wav to associate with "you hear someone cursing shoplifters" Ill be happy.

if anybody wants to record a wav file and email it to me saying something like "gull darn rattin frattin shoplifters!" then please do so.

If not maybe Ill do it myself and post it here.

I had an idea over the weekend.


An ice cream scoop with an electric heating element inside it. Nobody makes one. I couldnt find one anywhere on the internet to buy so what I was thinking was I would build one. I was pricing out parts and it looks like I can build one for about 30 bucks. Ill need a soldering iron and a solid iron ice scoop I can machine out and put a screwable connector on(Ill need a screw on piece on the soldering iron too.

But when Im done its gonna be pure ice cream scooping heaven.

one word. so little time.

Its pretty fun. Ive been doing it for a few days now.

I think Im coming to the conclusion that my job is too stressfull.

I like helping people. I like figuring stuff out. I like seeing all the different people everyday. I like working with computers.

What I dont like is coming home and worrying about work all night...About this or that or the other thing that I need to get done. I dont like the clock stricking 10 everynight and me feeling all achey and nasty from my eyeballs down to my toenails. I dont like having to sit in a hot shower for an hour so that I can relax enough to goto sleep.

And thats they way its been lately.

My boss says to just not get stressed out about it. Im not sure I can do that. I want to help ALL the people ALL the time. I dont want to tell people "I dont have time" or "come back later and maybe I will have time to get to it", I dont think thats fair to them and it stresses me out to tell them that. It makes me unhappy.

Someone once told me that the company should provide the tools I need to do my job.

They are not.

Sigh

Who knew a fiber optic connection was explosive?

Not me...but when I got here and nothing works all day they say, "its cause the fiber is blown up"

Maybe it was a terrorist attack?

I had cheeseburgers for dinner last night.

Ever since then my hands smell like cheeseburgers! Ive washed them 50 times. I even used hot water and soap. Nothing is getting rid of it.

Its driving me crazy! Crazy burger smell...

This daylight savings stuff is murder.

I am passing out at like 10:30! And I got kids up and wandering the house at 5:30 waking me up, almost getting clunked in the head because I think they are burglers in my sleepy stupor.

Also its dark when I get off work. And its just barely light when Im leaving.

I hate winter...And daylight savings time. We didnt have that stupid crap when I lived in AZ.
