My weekend did NOT go as planned.

I ended up just sitting around and relaxing. Except for yesterday when the kids got back and I took them to see "Revenge of the Sith"

I could have wrote better dialog than that.

At one point when Annie and Amedala(sp) are having one of their little tiffs. I turned to my wife and jokingly said "I dont even know you anymore!"

What do you think the next thing out of Amedala's mouth was??

Yeah. Not impressed.

Good Morning. (or afternoon or evening, whichever)

I stumbled onto this place over the weekend.

I like Tower of Goo (unlimited) and Planet Darwin, but the others are interesting too.

I have solved one of the great mysteries of the universe.

You cannot shoot yourself in a mirror with a laser tag gun.

Rest at peace world.

Today is my (newly) 12 year old's birthday.

I think he will be pleased with his presents (The Lord knows when I was kid I was happy to get a chinese checkers set or a Kite and he got alot more than that...But I guess thats inflation.)

He Got:

Laser Tag Deluxe(2 guns, 2 "helmets",2 Belts. And in the laser tag these they have adjustable clip size, adjustable ammo amount and multiple games built in. Its cool)

A Discman/mp3 player

SpiderMan for PS2.

While I was at Walmart, I bought a multitap for my PS2 too...So now I can play 5 player NBA Jam (I just need 2 more controllers for that...Currently I have 3.)

Good times...Good times...

At the dinner table

Melissa(8): I know what I want for my birthday!
Robert: Oh, Didnt I tell you. Since youre always bugging me to join a church we joined one.
Melissa: Really?!?!
Robert: Yeah, But now that we are "Jehova's Witnesses", you dont get a birthday anymore.
Melissa: HUH?!?
Robert: Well, It seems that birthdays distract from the rightful worship of The Lord. Sorry but those are the rules of our new church.
Melissa: Well, thats dumb.
Robert: Dont question the authority of the church Melissa, thats sin.
Melissa: Well, its dumb to have no birthdays.
Robert: It was either Jehova's Witnesses or Islam. And your mom didnt want to wear one of those hoodies. Sorry.
Melissa: But all my friends have birthdays!?!
Robert: I guess they arent getting into heaven then. What would you rather have? Eternal Salvation or a party and some barbie dolls.
Melissa: MOM, IS DADDY TELLING THE TRUTH?!!!
Jenifer(Mom): No.

I your interested in the beliefs of the JW. Or think Im full of crap about the birthday thing see this.

You know what really puts a "damper" on mothers day?

A block long grass fire to put out. Thats what.

See it all started when I was at our friends house bored. I have a kite (my favorite kite, might I add) stuck in a tree on the far side of this 10 acre field, on the opposite side of what they call, "The Shooting Range".

So Me, Wife and Wife's best friend walk out there to see if my kite has come down this week.

Nope.

Ok, We go back to her house and start playing Boche(sp?)ball. Well Im losing, down by 7 when one of our friends' kids rides up on her bike.

"THE SHOOTING RANGE IS ON FIRE!!!"

Some of the other kids were playing in this giant blue bucket with the hose. You can imagine what I said to them.(the F word was involved)

Next, Its me in the back of this giant diesel truck, sturdying the water and going about 50 down our friends' driveway...Holding on for dear life.

An hour and about 10 trips to the well later, the fire is out.

I have some minor burns(Did I mention I was wearing sandals and shorts??), My wife has a 2nd degree burn on her elbow. And her friend's husband (My Friend, sure, why not) Has 1st, second and one 3rd degree burn.

But the fire was out.

No DNR, No ticket...

I view it as a success.

Wouldnt it be cool to have all 4th of July wallpaper on the 4th of July?

Or all wallpaper of your kid on your kids birthday? Multiple pictures...Automatic time "flipping"...

Well now you can...

with winXP and

The Microsoft Wallpaper Flipper

Just put normal pictures in C:\windows\web\wallpaper and special days pictures in folders underneath that in the format "oct_31" or "dec_25".

Its the bomb...I had that thing for awhile but I didnt know I could have special wallpaper days until a recent rebuild of my machine.

Hope you enjoy!

Did you know?

You cant save the world.

You cant fix all the peoples problems.

Everything is a mess and it will keep getting more messed up faster than you can fix it.

You might as well try pushing up daisies.

I love Daleks.

I wish they would come and straighten out the human race.
